WAHA Announces 2016 Board Of Directors

The Wilmington Area Hospitality Association recently announced the 2016-17 board of directors and committee members.
 
Wilmington Area Hospitality Association (WAHA) is an organization that promotes the interests of the hospitality industry, including lodging, restaurants and recreational attractions in Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties, a news release stated. 
 
WAHA provides information to the membership, offers a forum for the discussion of ideas and problems, facilitates communication among members and promotes professionalism within the hospitality industry, the release stated. 
 
The appointees for the 2016-17 board of directors and committee members are:
  • President – Molly Johnson, director of convention sales for the Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Vice President – Michelle Hardee, director of sales for Staybridge Suites
  • Treasurer – Madison Norris, sales manager for the Blockade Runner Beach Resort
  • Secretary – Patti Riddle, director of sales for the Hilton Garden Inn & Courtyard Wilmington Wrightsville Beach
  • Membership Director – Lane Leibrock, sales manager for Springhill Suites and
  • Communications Director – Leigh Comis, director of sales for Fairfield Inn & Suites.
“I am honored to represent this growing organization of hospitality professionals,” Johnson said in the release, “as tourism continues to grow and be such a large economic contributor to our community."
