Andrew Kellermann, Schorr Davis and Lydia Newman all recently assumed positions with groups affiliated with New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Kellermann, an internal medicine physician, has joined New Hanover Medical Group-NHRMC Physician Group at its Leland location. He has experience in internal medicine and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He recently served as a physician at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville.

“We are proud to bring a veteran on board and his experience and dedication to patient care will serve the growing Brunswick County area well,” said Jeffrey Warhaftig, president of New Hanover Medical Group.

NHRMC also announced that Schorr Davis (at left) accepted the position of vice president of development and executive director of the NHRMC Foundation, the hospital's fundraising arm.

Davis has filled this role on an interim basis since October, according to a news release.

“Her experience in business development and healthcare consulting, coupled with her connections in the community, will serve to benefit the NHRMC Foundation’s growth and strength,” said Bill Rudisill, president of the NHRMC Foundation Board of Directors.

NHRMC also announced that Lydia Newman (at right) has been named executive director of clinical integration.

Newman will manage Physician Quality Partners (PQP), the NHRMC Accountable Care Organization. She has extensive public health experience and she was recently an executive director at Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear. There she led the nonprofit organization from its inception in 2003 to the role it plays today. It is now a network that engages hundreds of physicians, hospitals, departments of social services and health departments, according to a news release.

“Lydia has unrivaled experience with governmental health policy and day-to-day care delivery with Community Care,” said Sam Spicer, vice president of medical affairs at NHRMC.
