Hellums Joins Just For Buyers; Firm's Agent Greer Joins CREW

By Jenny Callison, posted Nov 17, 2015
Just For Buyers Realty has added broker Mel Hellums to its team, the firm announced recently.

Hellums (at left) has been a resident of Wilmington for more than a decade, having moved to the area from the Pacific Northwest in the early 2000s, according to a news release.  Prior to joining Just For Buyers Realty, he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Before that he was with the Transportation Security Administration and Oregon Army National Guard.  Hellums is also retired from the U.S. Army.

“We are very happy to have Mel join us,” Just For Buyers Realty broker in charge Kathleen Baylies said in the release.  “His professional experiences have one thing in common: Looking out for folks.  Those experiences will make him a tremendously valuable asset to both his clients and our company.”

In a separate release, Just For Buyers Realty announced that its agent Kathy Greer (at right) recently joined the Cape Fear Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Greer has nearly 10 years of commercial real estate experience and is the only commercial exclusive buyer agent in Wilmington.

CREW is a national organization, with 71 chapters across the country, and its stated mission is to advance the success of women in commercial real estate, the release stated.  The Cape Fear chapter consists of approximately 50 members, and includes a variety of commercial backgrounds, including financing, law, property management and sales.
