Rural Planning Organization Officers Elected

By Joe Lowe, posted Mar 3, 2015
The Cape Fear Rural Planning Organization (RPO) reelected two officers at its January meeting, according to a press release. The organization reelected Brunswick County commissioner Frank Williams and Whiteville mayor Terry Mann as chairman and vice chairman, respectively.

The Cape Fear RPO extends through Brunswick, Columbus and Pender counties and functions as an intergovernmental system addressing transportation issues to the N.C. Department of Transportation.

“As portions of our state become increasingly urbanized it is important for those of us who live in rural areas to make our voices heard,” Wlliams said in the release. “I look forward to continuing to work with Vice Chairman Mann, the other members of the committee, staff, elected leaders in the communities we represent and the NCDOT to ensure that our rural transportation needs and priorities are heard.”
