Wilmington Chamber Names 2 Board Members

The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce board of directors elected Ed Murray and Kimberley Bankston as new board members during the chamber’s March meeting, according to a news release.
 
Murray is the chief human resource officer for PPD, overseeing the company’s human resources functions worldwide, according to the release. He has 27 years of experience in human resource management for pharmaceutical and health care service-related companies, the release stated. He is also a board member of the Wilmington Downtown Inc. and serves as chairman of the Cape Fear Area United Way.
 
Kimberly Bankston is the general manager of human resources for GE Hitachi Nuclear. She was formerly the human resources director for GE’s Advanced Manufacturing and Software Technology Center in Detroit, Mich., according to the release. 
 
She is a recipient of the GE AAF Icon Award for Excellence in Human Resources as well as the 2011 GE Global HR Excellence Award.
