Michael Robinson Joins New Hanover Gynecologic Oncology

NHRMC Physician Group-New Hanover Gynecologic Oncology has welcomed Michael Robinson to the practice, according to a news release.

Robinson is taking patients at New Hanover Regional Medical Center Zimmer Cancer Center. New Hanover Gynecologic Oncology offers surgical care for the treatment of cancers or tumors affecting the female reproductive system, according to the release.

“Dr. Robinson will be a great addition to our gynecologic oncology team,” said Walter Gajewski, a gynecologic oncologist at NHRMC. “We are looking forward to seeing Dr. Robinson use his experience and unique skills here at NHRMC.”

Robinson received his bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He completed a pre-health program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, officials said.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

Robinson completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, New Jersey. And in 2018, he completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper in New Jersey.

Robinson is participating in ovarian cancer research as a post-doctoral fellow at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to this, he conducted research in the physiology, chemistry and gynecologic oncology fields.
