Personify Health has announced that David Frederiksen was elected vice president of the Wilmington Chapter of the N.C. Medical Group Management Association, according to a news release.
Frederiksen serves as director of business development for Personify Health, the health care arm of Wilmington-based Bon’s Eye Marketing.
“I’m honored to be elected to this position,” Frederiksen, who began his health care marketing career at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, said in the release.
“Health care has never been so dynamic and uncertain. At MGMA [Medical Group Management Association] you get to meet and know local practice managers and other healthcare professionals who contribute to and make tomorrow’s healthcare decisions,” he added.
A national organization headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, the Medical Group Management Association was founded in 1926 to “empower medical group practices to innovate and create meaningful change in healthcare.”
MGMA has a membership of more than 40,000 medical practice administrators, executives and leaders, as well as represents more than 12,500 organizations of all sizes, types, structures and specialties that deliver almost half of the health care in the United States, officials said.
“Our newly elected Board brings a diverse spectrum of healthcare expertise and personality to our 50 members who serve the health care needs of our coastal community,” Erinn Beekman, outgoing chapter president and senior consultant at Cornerstone Business Advisors, said in the release. “David’s healthcare marketing expertise, in addition to his energy, will surely impact the organization, its members and interests.”
