New Hanover Regional Medical Center announced in a press release Adam Cook as the new executive director of its fundraising foundation.

“It’s an honor to be chosen to lead such a strong foundation that provides invaluable support to New Hanover Regional Medical Center,” Cook said in a statement. “I look forward to working with folks to link their philanthropic interests with the needs of our hospital. My family and I are thrilled to become members of the Wilmington community and I can’t wait to get started!”

Cook, a North Carolina native, currently holds a dual role within the Carolinas Healthcare System. He is the president of the NorthEast Foundation and is the assistant vice president within the Carolinas Healthcare System.

A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate, Cook received certification as a fund raising executive in 2010.
