Three women who met while selling their wares in an antique business on Market Street started a store of their own last week.

“We were all three in Uptown Market [Antiques and Uncommon Goods] and were all very successful there,” said Ember Roberts, one of the owners of High Tide Home, 6721 Market St. in Wilmington, a store that sells coastal-style furniture and home décor.

Roberts teamed with fellow small businesswomen Amy Fisher and Lori Burnett to open High Tide Home on July 17 in a building that formerly housed Dorothy’s Ruffled Originals and a store called Plum Fancy.

“We’ve had a ton of traffic,” Roberts said on July 23. “We’ve only been open one week, and we’ve gone through lots of inventory.”

Roberts, Fisher and Burnett leased the 3,000-square-foot space from Coastal Realty.

The store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and the rest of the week by appointment, giving the partners time to create and paint more items to sell and meet with clients who want to place custom orders.

The store has a Facebook page and website, www.hightidehome.com.
