Wilmington-based Sturdy Corp Acquires AAdynTech

Sturdy Corp., a global supplier of mechanical, electrical, electronic, lighting and software solutions for markets such as TV, film, marine and automotive, has acquired AAdynTech of Paramus, New Jersey, officials announced.
 
AAdynTech is a manufacturer of high performance, single-source LED lighting fixtures for the film, TV and mobile production industries.
 
Since AAdynTech was founded in 2010, Sturdy Corp. has worked with the company in the areas of design, development, testing and manufacturing that has led to both companies' products.
 
Sturdy Corp. was founded in 1971 by David Sturdy. The company is headquartered at 1822 Carolina Beach Road, with facilities in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. The firm's production facility in Wilmington has 140,000 square feet of space and is home to Sturdy’s product design, development, testing and manufacturing operations, according to a Sturdy Corp. news release.
 
The announcement came after Frank Gallagher, managing director of AAdynTech, announced his retirement.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
