After months of planning, design and construction, CastleBranch will unveil its new state-of-the-art tech startup space 4-6 p.m. Thursday.

The new space, which CastleBranch calls "an innovative, privately owned, community-driven technology incubator-accelerator," is on the third floor of the company's new headquarters building at 1844 Sir Tyler Drive in Wilmington.

Dubbed tekMountain, the facility offers a mix of small-group work spaces, meeting pods, individual work stations and open areas - all designed to attract individual entrepreneurs, small tech startups and group meetings and stimulate the creative juices, said tekMountain director Audrey Speicher. Flexibility of use is key to making the space work, she added.

The space, along with much of the furnishings, was designed by Wilmington's Lisle Architecture & Design.

The public is welcome to attend the grand opening of tekMountain, said CastleBranch spokeswoman Elizabeth Bloch. There will be facility tours, refreshments and the introduction of Vittles, the company's new food truck.

"We will feature several bounce houses and fun games for our visiting children," the invitation states.
