Allen Renquist and Matt Anlyan, owners of The Donut Inn, have announced that they will open a second location this fall.

The new Donut Inn will be located in the Oak Landing Shopping Center, adjacent to the Harris Teeter shopping center at the corner of Porters Neck Road and Market Street. Construction is currently underway.

Owners say they selected Porters Neck because of the area’s rapid growth and customer feedback.

“We wanted to enter the market as early as possible relative to our competition,” Anlyan said.

“And, to be honest, our customers have made it clear that if we don’t bring The Donut Inn to Porters Neck, we should fear for our lives!” Renquist added.

The Donut Inn is known not only for its handmade doughnuts but also a variety of breakfast sandwiches, wraps and omelets as well as deli sandwiches.

It is also known for its commitment to supporting local nonprofits and charitable organizations through the donation of unsold baked goods.

As the company continues to grow, owners say they will expand their fresh-made bagel and doughnut production at both locations.
