As dining options at The Pointe at Barclay continue to grow, Crave Hot Dogs and Barbecue and Mr. Bagel Meister can now be added to the list of choices.

Crave, the fast-casual concept created by Samantha and Sal Rincione, specializes in grilled all-beef hot dogs, bratwursts and other sausages with a wide array of toppings. Barbecue sandwiches and sliders prepared with pulled chicken, pork and smoked brisket are also on the menu, along with sides such as tater tots, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw.

Crave also features an 18-tap self-serve beer wall with drafts from several Wilmington and North Carolina breweries, as well as domestics, imports, wine and cider. Customers pour as much or as little as they like, paying by the ounce.  The family-friendly restaurant also offers a freestyle Coke machine.

Crave’s catering menu offers party platters with a choice of sliders, two sides, chips and a drink, as well as combination plates featuring a choice of three meats. Dessert platters are also available.

The restaurant is run by franchisees Wayne and Laura Decker, along with son Geoff Decker, who serves as general manager. Crave offers indoor and outdoor seating, with a fenced patio and outdoor fire table.

Mr. Bagel Meister, operated by franchisee John Monaco, offers fresh baked bagels in as many as 18 flavors, along with three-egg omelets, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, and lunch sandwiches prepared with Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses and served with fries or tater tots.

Mr. Bagel Meister serves fresh ground coffee in a variety of flavors, as well as iced coffee and hot and iced tea. Sodas and juices and bottled water are also available.

“We’ve had a great response so far,” John Monaco said.

Franchise founder Phil Santomassi said that beginning next week, Mr. Bagel Meister will carry additional breakfast pastries such as donuts, and will be extending business hours to 10 p.m.

Crave Hot Dogs and Barbecue is at 1407 Barclay Pointe Blvd., and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.  Mr. Bagel Meister is at 1611 Dusty Miller Lane and opens at 6:30 a.m. daily.
