Cape Fear Seafood Company now has a third location at 143 Poole Road in Leland, near the master planned community of Waterford.

“We’ve had a very strong opening,” said owner Evans Trawick. “The community has been really receptive to what we have to offer and we think it’s a great fit for the area.”

Trawick purchased the land at 143 Poole Road last fall, with plans to build a 13,000-square-foot mixed-use facility. Cape Fear Seafood Company occupies 4,000 square feet of the building’s ground floor, and an additional 1,500 square feet of ground floor space has been leased to local Tropical Smoothie Café franchisee Brandon Korman. This will also be Korman’s third area location, and he anticipates opening by the end of August.

Cape Fear Seafood Company and Tropical Smoothie Café will be the only two restaurants to occupy the new building. The rest of the building has been designed as office space and is almost completely leased according to Trawick.

Trawick said he saw the development as a means to increase his stream of revenue and help launch a third location in the Leland area.

The new location shares much of the same design elements as the other locations, as well as the same core menu. Daily specials vary at each location, as does the daily fresh catch. Lunch and dinner are served each day beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Cape Fear Seafood Company's other locations are 5226 S. College Road, Suite 5, in Monkey Junction and 140 Hays Lane, Suite 140, in Porters Neck.
