John Francesco and Marzana Zalik, who purchased Olde Point Country Club in Hampstead in January, recently put the finishing touches on Nineteen, the club’s new bar and restaurant. The restaurant was previously known as George’s.

Francesco and Zalik have given the 40-year-old clubhouse a major overhaul, with fresh paint, new hardwood floors and updated décor. The golf-themed bar area, where the full menu is available, seats about 70 guests and the coastal-themed dining area seats 80. Both are open to the public.

The banquet room has also been remodeled, decorated in neutral colors to accommodate a wide variety of functions.

Restaurant manager Mike Harris said that the restaurant's new executive chef, Andrew Ostacoli, brings with him a wealth of experience in Italian and Mediterranean cooking. The lunch menu offers salads and sandwiches such as a salmon BLT and a chicken caprese wrap.

Dinner entrees include chicken Marsala, eggplant rollatini and grilled salmon with Parmesan risotto and asparagus. Harris said that while the lunch menu is now served on Sundays, Ostacoli plans to incorporate some brunch items into the Sunday menu in the near future.

In addition to the improvements to Nineteen, Francesco and Zalik have made significant improvements to the greens and fairways as well as the pool and tennis courts.

Nineteen at Olde Pointe Country Club is located at 513 Country Club Drive in Hampstead and is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
