Dining Out On Easter? Here's What's Cookin'

If your Easter celebration includes eating out this year, many local restaurants are serving up a variety of special meals. He’s the rundown on some of what’s cookin’:

Kornerstone Bistro, 8262-101 Market St., will offer a brunch buffet featuring a ham carving station, prime rib carving station, shrimp and grits, smoked salmon, french toast, Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, hash browns, grits, eggs benedict, eggs Florentine, bacon, sausage, made-to-order omelettes, chicken piccata, stromboli, pizza, pasta, salad, fresh fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls and assorted desserts. Cost is $22.95 for adults and $10.95 for children 12 and under, including a beverage. Brunch will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Five-dollar bloody Marys, peach bellinis and mimosas are available any time after noon.

Osteria Chicchetti, 1125-K Military Cutoff Road and 5104 S. College Road, will offer an Easter brunch buffet featuring prime rib and lamb carving stations, made-to-order omelettes, bacon, sausage, frittata Florentine, bagels and lox, shrimp and grits, bananas foster crepes, penne alla vodka, meatballs Napoli, chicken francaise, salmon piccata, ceasar salad and homemade desserts. Cost for adults is $24.95 and $11.95 for children 12 and under. Brunch begins at 9 a.m.

Boca Bay, 2025 Eastwood Road, will host a brunch buffet with made-to-order omelettes, Belgian waffles, bagels and lox, fresh fruit, pasta, local seafood, carving stations and a variety of pastries and desserts. Adults' price is $24.95; for children 12 and under it's $11.95. Brunch begins at 8:30 a.m.

Brasserie du Soleil, 1908 Eastwood Road, will serve an à la carte menu featuring tuna tartare, shrimp remoulade, eggs benedict, omelettes, quiche Lorraine, steak and eggs, local flounder, a spinach, mushroom and brie crepe, slow-roasted leg of lamb and rigatoni Bolognese. Sandwiches and pommes frites will also be available. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Circa 1922, 8 N. Front St., will also offer an à la carte menu featuring eggs benedict, omelettes, chicken and waffles,  shrimp and grits, crème brulee French toast, grilled salmon, goat cheese gnocchi, Santa Fe frittata, croque monsieur, and the Circa BLT. Doors open at 10 a.m.

East Restaurant at The Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach will host a buffet featuring pastries, an omelette station, a waffle bar, breakfast meats, carving stations with lamb, Angus beef and tuna, chilled seafood, salads and a variety of salads, entrees and desserts. Cost is $45 for adults and $17 for children 13 and younger.

Bluewater Waterfront Grill, 4 Marina St. in Wrightsville Beach, will host a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $16.99 for adults and $7.99 for children 10 and under.

Shell Island Resort, 2700 N. Lumina Ave. in Wrightsville Beach will host a brunch buffet featuring deviled eggs, salads, a fresh fruit and cheese array, a shrimp and grits station, meat carving stations, herb-roasted salmon with mango salsa, chicken Tuscany, vegetable frittatas, garlic roasted red bliss potatoes, whipped sweet potatoes, spring vegetables and assorted desserts. Adults pay $36.95, and it's $17.95 for children from 4 to 12. There are two seatings: noon and 2 p.m.

Eddie Romanelli’s, 503 Olde Waterford Way in Leland, will offer a brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is $15.99 for adults and $6.99 for children 12 and under.

Hops Supply Co., 5400 Oleander Drive, will begin its new Sunday brunch hours on Easter. The gastropub will serve brunch all day: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The following restaurants will serve Sunday Brunch as normal:

Antonio’s Pizza and Pasta in Porters Neck, 8211 Market St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pembroke’s, 1125A Military Cutoff Road, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Rx Restaurant and Bar, 421 Castle St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Havana’s, 1 Cape Fear Blvd. in Carolina Beach and 6722 Wrightsville Ave. in Wilmington, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Basics, 319 N. Front St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Oceanic, 703 S. Lumina Blvd. in Wrightsville Beach, regular brunch menu, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Easter dinner specials.
The George on the Riverwalk, 128 S. Water St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
