Wilmington Symphony Youth Education Programs earn donations April 27 at Moe’s Southwest Grill in Wilmington.

Each time diners that day hear the rally cry “Welcome to Moe’s,” the restaurant, at 4401 Oleander Drive, will donate 20 percent of customers’ bills to Wilmington Symphony Youth Education Programs, the Mexican restaurant reported.

Also, at 4 p.m. that day, patrons can listen to the young musicians their money benefits when the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra and Junior Strings perform a free concert at University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Kenan Auditorium.

Moe’s Southwest Grill manager Jason Southern studied music and played the trumpet, French horn and euphonium as a kid.

“I know how important music was to me at the age, and I want to help, in any way I can, preserve that for the next generation,” he said.
