A local real estate agency has doubled its physical space and hired two new brokers.

Just For Buyers Realty announced the completion of its expansion at 5 Silva Terra Drive in Wilmington. The firm’s new space includes work space for additional brokers, a new broker-client meeting room and a large conference and presentation room, according to a news release from the company.

SDI Construction Inc. of Wilmington provided general contractor services for the expansion.

Broker-in-charge Kathleen Baylies said that the project took her headquarters from 1,000 square feet to about 2,000 square feet.

“We had to grow our physical plant because our business, which doubled in the last two years, has outgrown the original space,” Baylies said. “The new space, which flows seamlessly from the existing office, is very functional and will undoubtedly enable us to better serve our clients.”

Accompanying the news of the physical expansion, the firm also announced that two brokers, Peggy Singer and Kathy Greer, are joining the firm.

Singer joined the firm last month. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, much of it in marketing strategy and sales planning. Singer will focus on furthering relationships in the medical community.

“I have a firsthand understanding of the stresses medical professionals experience when relocating for a new job,” Singer said.

Singer holds a degree in allied Health, radiology from the University of Vermont and is a cum laude business graduate of Queens University of Charlotte.

Greer began in her new position earlier this month. Originally from New York, she earned a bachelor of science degree in business and economics, with a minor of finance, from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has lived in the Wilmington area since 2004 and was the owner/broker of Gatefield Realty.

“Having owned a real estate firm, I saw the conflict of interest that exists when a company represents both buyers and sellers,” she said, explaining why she opted for an agency that serves buyers only.

As the name implies, Just For Buyers Realty works only with buyers and does not accept listings nor represents sellers.
