New Office Condo Fully Leased; Includes Stevens Fine Homes Design Center

By Cece Nunn, posted Jan 19, 2018

A new 18,000-square-foot office condominium in Wilmington is now 100 percent leased, according to an announcement from Coldwell Banker Commercial SunCoast.

The leasing agent for the building, located at 2922 Orville Wright Way, was Don Harley, a partner in Coldwell Banker Commercial SunCoast, and the developers were Nick Saffo, owner of Saffo Contractors Inc. of Wilmington, and Craig Stevens, owner of Stevens Fine Homes, a news release stated.

"Steven Fine Homes is using half of the property, or 9,000 square feet, to house its first-ever Design Center for clients and homeowners," the release said. "Here, clients can work directly with a design consultant to review all the finishes and design choices available for their new home, from wallpaper, flooring and tile to cabinetry, faucets and paint colors."

Saffo engaged Harley to market the remaining 9,000 square feet to potential tenants, and Harley had the new building fully leased before construction was finished, the release stated.

The release provided details about the other tenants:

  • East Coast Mowers, a lawn mower retail store and repair shop specializing in eXmark mowers, leased 4,500 square feet for a combined retail/workshop business. Charlotte and Scott Hagan purchased the business in 2017 and relocated it from Market Street in Wilmington, the release stated. “2922 Orville Wright met our needs because it was well located and provided easy access into and out of the property for our customers,” said Charlotte Hagan in the release. “It’s also a very attractive building and has great curb appeal.”
  • Live Wire Electric Co. leased 3,000 square feet to house its growing commercial electrician business. Owner Tim McIntyre was previously located across the street, but needed room to grow, according to the release. “The building’s location and accessibility was ideal and its proximity to my existing business made the transition a very smooth one,” said McIntyre, in the release.
  • WECO Tek, also known as Woodside Electronics Company, has leased 1,500 square feet of space to house a regional field office and workshop. WECO Tek is a worldwide leader in the selling and leasing of agricultural sorting equipment and is headquartered in Woodland, California, the release stated.
