A shopping center in Ogden, where a new Publix grocery store is set to celebrate its grand opening Nov. 29, will be managed by a local company, according to an announcement Wednesday.

Cameron Management Inc., a commercial real estate firm based in Wilmington, will manage Ogden Market Place, at Middle Sound Loop Road and Market Street.

The center is anchored by a 45,600-square-foot Publix supermarket at 7144 Market St. and is expected to include a nail salon, Moe's Southwest Grill, a location of The Fairy Circle, Double Happiness restaurant, Smoothie King and Pizza Hut, according to marketing materials.

The 72,782-square-foot center is owned by Halpern Enterprises, a retail shopping center developer based in Atlanta.

"Halpern has done a tremendous job of not only being a great developer, but also being an outstanding steward of the community with their commitment to the preservation of numerous live oak trees on the site," said Susan Arredondo, property manager for Cameron Management, in a news release. "The tenants will be very successful here and we look forward to providing the attention to detail and first class services this outstanding property deserves.”

Halpern is also the developer of Oak Island Market Place and Ocean Isle Beach Market Place, two centers that will also be anchored by Publix grocery stores. The grand opening of the Publix at Ogden Market Place in Wilmington is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Nov. 29.
