Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, an independent financial firm in Wilmington, has promoted a member of its team.

John Zachary was recently promoted to associate wealth adviser at Pathfinder Wealth Consulting, according to a press release from the company.

A Wilmington native, Zachary graduated from University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2009 with a bachelor’s of science degree in finance and business management. After graduation, he began his career with Pathfinder.

Zachary was hired as a paraplanner and assisted with the financial planning process. He soon took on the financial analyst role and has since been assisting both advisers for planning and investment needs.

Zachary obtained his certification as a Certified Financial Planner in 2012. He then stepped into his most recent role as director of financial planning services. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and a recent graduate of the 2017 Class of Leadership Wilmington, a program through the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.
