Bricks 4 Kidz Expands Into Burnt Mill Business Park

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Mar 25, 2014
A Wilmington-based child learning enterprise is moving into the Burnt Mill Business Park.

Kathy Leonard, director of Bricks 4 Kidz, said Tuesday her firm will soon occupy nearly 1,000 square feet of commercial space at 3114 Randall Parkway, Suite 3 in the Burnt Mill Business Park near midtown.

Leonard said the space is currently being upfitted, and her company has plans to occupy the unit by May.

Keith Austin, a broker with Maus Warwick Matthews & Company, completed the transaction last week for an undisclosed amount.

Leonard said she is looking to expand her presence throughout greater Wilmington with the move into larger quarters.

Bricks 4 Kidz is a national franchise based in St. Augustine, Fla.

Leonard established the greater Wilmington franchise in October as an after-school program.

The program, which uses Legos as its primary learning tool, has since grown to include school visits, birthdays, pre-school classes and camps.

All activities are centered on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, education techniques and curriculum that emphasize teamwork, motor skills and problem solving.
