Edward Jones in Leland recently recognized Joe Neu and Dottie Ewing with the firm’s Client Service Excellence Award.

Barbara Nelson of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network-Wilmington has received the Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation from the Corporation for Long-Term Care Certification, Inc. The continuing education program is a resource for financial professionals wishing to remain up-to-date on industry trends.

Wilmington Health Associates welcomed Dr. J.L. Aldrich and his team to its Brunswick Forest location. Dr. Aldrich is board certified in cardiology and nuclear cardiology and will continue to see patients at his practice, Heart Specialists of Brunswick, in addition to new patients at Wilmington Health Associates.

Terry Santore, CEO, and Vicki Dull, CIO of Quicksilver Business Solutions LLC have been certified by Intuit in its Enterprise Solutions software. Quicksilver has been chosen as one of 600 Intuit Solutions Providers in the U.S. after a review of Quicksilver’s business model, Santore’s and Dull’s education, and several interviews.

Home Instead Senior Care recently graduated five additional CAREGivers from the company’s Alzheimer’s Training Program: Camillia Ferguson, Anne Bryant, Deborah Whitman, Jackie Murray and Marcy Jaenilhe. They have all completed the comprehensive instruction designed to provide the latest in education and proven techniques to better serve the growing number of clients with Alzheimer’s disease.

NewBridge Bank has named Wilmington resident Sandra Chilcote a Mortgage Loan Originator in its Bradford Mortgage Group. Chilcote is based at the NewBridge Bank’s Wilmington office on South College Road.

Association Executives of North Carolina recognized two members at its Annual Awards Dinner June 17 in Concord. Carlyle Teague, Executive Director for the N.C. Specialty Foods Association was named Outstanding CEO for 2008-2009. Michelle Streath of Hilton Wilmington Riverside was presented with the Patsy B. Smith Award, the highest honor bestowed on an individual in the Affiliate Membership category.

Sweetwater Surf Shop co-owners Danielle Bourgeois and Shana Harrison along with employee Lydia Chandler produced a design that was selected for Billabong’s national Design for Humanity contest. They received an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles and two VIP tickets to the main event, raising money and awareness for this year’s cause, Invisible Children.

Brad Hudson, Investment Management Consultant and Branch Manager of Raymond James in Wilmington, North Carolina recently obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst certification.  The CIMA certification identifies those individuals who have met the experience and ethical requirements, have successfully completed advanced investment management consulting coursework, and have passed a rigorous examination.

Raleigh Metro Magazine recently announced that Intracoastal Realty was voted “1st Place, Standing Ovation” by readers in the Best Coastal Real Estate Company category. Results will be published in the magazine’s July and August editions.

Century 21 Sweyer & Associates was recently named the top producing Century 21 company out of 300 offices in the North Carolina Region for the month of May. The Landfall office was recognized as the No. 1 office in the region and named the No. 37 office nationwide in the Century 21 System. The Monkey Junction office was ranked No. 8 in the North Carolina region and the Hampstead office was ranked No. 12.

Thomas Construction Group LLC, announced it has been awarded the construction contract for the Wrightsville United Methodist Church Expansion project. The company hired Tommy Williams as Project Superintendent. Williams joins the company with 28 years of local construction experience.
