PPD founder Fred Eshelman will soon join other noted Wilmingtonians with a star on Wilmington's Walk of Fame. Other noted Wilmington "Star" recipients include Frank Capra, Jr., Althea Gibson, David Brinkley, Charlie Daniels and Sonny Jurgenson. The Walk of Fame is located is located near the Water Streey entrance of the Cotton Exchange in downtown Wilmington. The Walk of Fame is now managed by Celebrate Wilmington, a nonprofit that promotes the arts in Wilmington. Celebrate Wilmington continually accepts nominations for the Walk of Fame and has managed it since 1997.
