N2 Publishing Adds 80 To Workforce In First Quarter

By Jenny Callison, posted May 4, 2015
Neighborhood magazine specialist N2 Publishing has reported rapid growth in the first quarter of 2015, according to a news release from the organization.

The Wilmington-based company has expanded steadily since its founding in 2004, but officials say that no previous growth compares to the rate at which it is currently adding employees to its roster.

"During the first quarter of 2015 alone, N2 Publishing hired 80 new team members. Thirty-five of the hires are based here in Wilmington," the release stated. The 35 Wilmington jobs are full-time positions; three part-time employees were added as well, a company spokeswoman said.

A few of the 45 jobs in other N2 locations are part-time as well, she added.

"It still feels like a startup, which is a great thing. The addition of so many phenomenal people creates a lot of change, company CEO Duane Hixon said in the release. "By now, we're used to welcoming new people every week. We're excited to find talented people that fit our culture. When filling positions for our main office here in Wilmington, we find some great candidates in town, but we also attract a lot of out-of-towners, too, because they're excited to come to Wilmington and join this lifestyle."

The company has also completed its move to a larger facility at 5051 New Centre Drive, purchased in July and subsequently renovated, the release stated. The new 32,000-square-foot quarters offers space to house a full-time fitness program for employees.

N2 Publishing, according to its website, works with homeowners’ associations and city councils to produce customized neighborhood publications that feature stories about that community's residents and events.
