'Sleepy Heads' Are Coming

By Susan Hance, posted Oct 27, 2014
Fans of Fox’s weekly series Sleepy Hollow, avid viewers also known as Sleepy Heads, started coming to Wilmington when the show debuted in 2013 and interest has been rising ever since, according to a press release from the CVB.

With Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman in mind, and just in time for October travel, the CVB announced a free Sleepy Hollow FAQ Sheet to help visiting fans. Visitors can also book a Halloween getaway with special October rates.

Information can be found at tinyurl.com/FallSpecialRates.

The CVB’s self-guided tour includes filming locations from the show’s first season, with updates as the second season episodes air, focusing on locations that are easily reachable and open to the public and those that allow exterior photography.

The Sleepy Hollow FAQ Sheet answers six questions on a one-page handout, printed on front and back. This follows the format developed in 1999, when the CVB developed a Dawson’s Creek FAQ Sheet in response to a number of calls.

The free Sleepy Hollow  FAQ Sheets are available at Wilmington Visitor Information Centers and online at www.WilmingtonAndBeaches.com/SleepyHollowFAQ.
