South East Area Health Education Center physician Bonzo Reddick received two awards for his work with the New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s family medicine residency program.
Reddick was awarded the Clinical Preceptor Excellence in Teaching Award for off-campus faculty and the 30th Annual Citron Award.
The Clinical Preceptor Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes outstanding faculty member teaching of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine students through one of the nine N.C. Area Health Education Centers.
The Academy of Educator committee selects award recipients by reviewing nominations from peers, department chairs and medical students.
The Annual Citron Award is bestowed upon a physician who embodies excellence as a family physician and educator.
Reddick practices at Costal Family Medicine in Wilmington and is a member of the teaching faculty at the NHRMC Residency in Family Medicine. As director of Pre-Doctoral Education, he coordinates and facilitates medical student rotations in family medicine.
