Power Breakfast: Election 2020

The Power Breakfast on October 21 will feature candidates for the North Carolina Senate and New Hanover County Board of Commissioners.

All six commissioner candidates, who are competing to fill three positions, will be on stage together for 40 minutes to talk about issues important to our region’s business community.

That will be followed by a 40-minute discussion with the two candidates for North Carolina Senate, which is a rematch from two years ago when Sen. Harper Peterson narrowly beat former Sen. Michael Lee.

These discussions will be streamed for free on Facebook Live on the Business Journal’s Facebook page, starting at 8 a.m.

This Power Breakfast is part of a partnership between the Business Journal, Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, Business Alliance for a Sound Economy, Cape Fear Realtors and Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association to help educate the community about local candidates.

On Sept. 22, the Chamber hosted a forum with candidates for the New Hanover County Board of Education. Click here to see a recording of that event.

The Chamber will host candidates for North Carolina House at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. Click here to register for that free event.
