George Sworn In As Cape Fear Community College Trustee

Cape Fear Community College officials recently welcomed Brad George to the school's board of trustees.

George, who will serve until June 30, 2027, was sworn in at the board's bi-monthly meeting March 28, according to a news release.

Originally from Greensboro, George relocated to Hampstead after high school, the release stated. He served in the Navy before beginning his career at GE Vernova, where he has held the position of maintenance coordinator for 33 years, according to the release.

"His dedication to public service is evident through his appointment on the Pender County Board of Commissioners and his 10-year tenure on the Pender County Board of Education," the release stated.
