Dosher Memorial Hospital has welcomed Catherine Mohr as its new chief nursing officer, according to a news release.

Mohr has more than 26 years of experience in academic medical centers and hospitals, officials said.

She was previously the executive vice president/system chief nursing officer of the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pennsylvania.

Prior to that role, Mohr had served as the executive director of the Children’s Hospital at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, and as the director of nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System for Women’s and Children’s Services and Radiology.

Mohr earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at the College of New Rochelle, her master’s degree at Duke University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel University.

“In the ever-changing landscape of healthcare, hospitals need strong leaders who are not afraid to challenge the status quo to make an impact," Brad Hilaman, CEO and CMO of Dosher, said in the release. “Ms. Mohr has a proven track record of workplace innovation, and we know this will make her a great asset to our patients, staff, and community.”
