CCLCF Announces Board Chair

Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear has named Yvonne Hughes as its board chair, according to a news release.
 
Hughes is the CEO of Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance and Coastal Connect Health Information Exchange, stated the release.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in health care finance, corporate negotiations, interoperability design and policy development, officials said.
 
“Under Yvonne’s leadership, the 11 member hospitals of the [Coastal Carolinas Health] alliance developed and successfully launched Coastal Connect Inc., a nonprofit regional health information organization that connects five independent hospitals and over 200 unaffiliated physician practices,” stated the release.
 
Yvonne has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Mount Olive and a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
