Cape Fear Solar Systems Recognized As A Top Solar Contractor

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Sep 17, 2019
Cape Fear Solar Systems was named one of the top solar contractors in the country by Solar Power World magazine, according to a news release.

The industry magazine developed the top list, which recognizes work completed by solar contractors across the U.S., stated the release. The Wilmington-based company has been ranked on the list for the seventh year in a row.

The annual list "celebrates the achievements of U.S. solar developers, subcontractors and installers within the utility, commercial and residential markets, and ranks contractors by kilowatts installed in the previous year," officials said in the release.

The company was founded in 2007. It has since installed more than 4,700 kilowatts of solar in Southeastern North Carolina for more than 1,000 customers, stated the release.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for the seventh year in a row as a top solar contractor,” John Donoghue, president of Cape Fear Solar Systems, said in the release. “Since opening over 12 years ago, we’ve seen tremendous growth in the residential and commercial markets. We are grateful our customers continue to recommend us—most of our business is from referrals. I really want to thank our customers and community for choosing Cape Fear Solar."
