Davis Health Care Center has been recognized as a 2019 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipient by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, according to a news release.

The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, stated the release.

The program spotlights providers across the nation “who have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for residents and patients in long term post-acute care,” stated the release.

“I am extremely proud of the day-to-day dedication our employees demonstrate in their interactions with our residents. The Silver National Quality Award is tangible recognition of the emphasis we place on quality care at every level of our organization,” said Charles Long, CEO of The Davis Community, in the release.

The program has three progressive levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Officials said at the Silver level, members develop and demonstrate “effective approaches that help improve organizational performance and heal care outcomes,” stated the release.

Davis Health Care Center, as a recipient of the Silver award, can advance to meet the criteria required for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.
