Going Beyond The Pink Welcomes New Executive Director

Going Beyond the Pink has welcomed Cindy Anzalotti as its new executive director.

Anzalotti started her role with the Wilmington nonprofit in May, officials said. She has more than 25 years of fundraising and donor management experience with more than 15 years at the executive level.

“She is a passionate, performance-driven nonprofit professional whose success has been derived from the ability to collaborate with multiple organizations to ensure the best possible results. She is adept at growing businesses, exploiting market opportunities and orchestrating attainment of strategic goals,” Kara Kenan, founder and resource director at Going Beyond the Pink, said in an email. “Cindy’s strong leadership skills in fiscal management, community relations, stewardship, and the ability to raise significant funds come from her diverse work history.”

Going Beyond the Pink provides educational programs and support resources to breast cancer patients and survivors, according to officials.

Anzalotti has worked with several nonprofits, including Cape Fear Museum of History and Science, the Brigade Boys & Girls Club and DREAMS of Wilmington.

She has also volunteered for various other nonprofits and has served on the board of directors for organizations including Leland Cultural Arts Council, The American Red Cross and Springfield Cultural Council.

Going Beyond the Pink also added new board and advisory council members.

The board members are: Vanessa Gonzalez, esq., immigration attorney and advocate with The Law Office of Vanessa A. Gonzalez PLLC; Elizabeth McCann, a retired oncology nurse; Katelynn Horney, assistant vice president and branch manager at TD Bank and April Scott, director of Brunswick Community College Small Business Center.

The new advisory council members are: Sara Barbry, marketing director for New Anthem Beer Project and Amy Gordon, senior director at Beautycounter, educator and advocate.
