By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Dec 18, 2018
Arts Friendly has announced that Chad Paul has joined the Honorary Board of Directors of the Arts Friendly Foundation, according to a news release.

“The arts play an important role in the quality of life of our community. I am proud to help advance the mission of the Arts Friendly Foundation,” said Paul, CEO of Bald Head Island Limited LLC, in the release.

The Arts Friendly Foundation, established in July, has a mission "to strengthen local communities by supporting the operations of arts nonprofits," officials said in the release.

DREAMS Center for Arts Education, Opera Wilmington, Thalian Association Community Theatre, Wilmington Art Association and the Wilmington Jewish Film Festival, have each received funds raised by the Arts Friendly Foundation in 2018, stated the release.

“We are very pleased to have Mr. Paul join the Honorary Board of the Arts Friendly Foundation,” Craig Stinson, director of Arts Friendly, said in the release. “He is community-minded and understands that the arts add to quality of life, which is important to the economic health of Wilmington and the region."

Stinson said that the foundation supports arts nonprofits by splitting donations evenly between five local organizations.
