New Hanover Medical Group Welcomes New Physicians

Constance Foreman and Caroline Thompson have joined NHRMC Physician Group -- New Hanover Medical Group, according to a news release. 

Foreman joins the group's 16th Street office, where she practices family medicine. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City, Maryland, and a Master of Medical Science degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. 

Foreman received her Doctor of Medicine and completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia, according to the release.

In the past 10 years, Forman has researched and presented on family medicine subjects, including body image discrepancies and motivation in African-American women, diabetes management in geriatrics and dementia, officials said.

Foreman was the academic chief resident in 2017 in the Ghent Family Medicine Residency program, stated the release. In 2016, she was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Thompson (right) has joined the Brunswick Forest office, where she practices family medicine. She most recently worked at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville as a family medicine resident, according to the release.

Thompson is fluent in Spanish, officials said.

Thompson received her Bachelor of Science in biology and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

She has held teaching positions and served as a mentor for medical students, stated the release
