MarKraft Names David Talley As COO

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Jul 17, 2018
MarKraft, has announced that David Talley has been appointed chief operating officer, a new position within the cabinetry design and installation services firm, according to a news release.

Talley previously ran MarKraft’s Nashville, Tennessee, division. He will continue to report to Cee Edwards, president of MarKraft, and Joe Jacobus, founder and CEO, while working out of the company’s Wilmington headquarters.

"David is uniquely qualified to fill this new role within our company,” Edwards said in the release. "He grew up in the business as an installer; worked as an Account Representative for builders; and then helped grow our Nashville location to its current scope and size.”

“MarKraft is, first and foremost, a service and installation company, and we are confident that David's leadership abilities will take the company to its next phase of innovation in operational excellence,” he added.

Talley has assumed responsibility for operations, field services and installations across all MarKraft markets, which include Wilmington, Apex, Nashville, Tennessee, and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Prior to this appointment, Talley was the branch manager of the Nashville Sales & Design Center. While in that role, he helped to expand his team from four to over 30 employees and increase sales by 450 percent, officials said in the release.

“MarKraft has always been a company that invests in the development of its employees, and I’m fortunate that Joe and Cee have done so with me,” Talley said in the release. “Likewise, one of my greatest strengths is teaching – I love mentoring cabinetry installers and helping them excel at their craft. One of my first initiatives will be to hire and develop additional installers for all of our markets. I encourage anyone with the right skill set to reach out to me.”
