Wilmington Health has announced the addition of Gentry Caton to its medical team.
Caton is providing care at Wilmington Health's location at 1202 Medical Center Drive, according to the release.
Caton provides inpatient and outpatient colorectal surgical care. He performs diagnostic tests and screenings (like colonoscopies), interventions for fecal incontinence and open and robotic surgery of the lower intestines.
“I’m excited to join the Wilmington Health team,” Caton said in the release. “I look forward to providing the best care possible to patients needing colon and rectal care as well as general surgery.”
Caton received his medical degree from University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He performed a general surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Los Angeles and a colorectal fellowship at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Prior to moving to Wilmington, he resided and practiced in Asheville.
