Two new brokers have joined the Spot Real Estate team in Wilmington, growing the agency to nine brokers.

Thurston Dawson and Brandon Rougeau joined Spot Real Estate in March, according to a release.

Dawson has lived in the Wilmington area for four years.

Dawson developed a passion for real estate at a young age when traveling with his parents to view potential homes for their family. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in animal science, but it wasn't until after college that he fully realized his passion for real state, the release stated.

“Thurston brings extensive experience in interior design into his real estate career," said Angie Robinson, Spot Real Estate broker-in-charge. "With this talent he is a valuable asset to sellers and provides suggestions that help their home show its best. This is helpful to his buyers as well to help them visualize all the possibilities of their new home."

Dawson uses his own experiences to help buyers and sellers through the process.

"Our first home buying experience was very frustrating. Home buying/selling can be a stressful event. I want to be able to provide families with the most information, advice and support possible throughout the home buying/selling experience to help reduce the associated stress. My goal is to make the experience enjoyable and exciting for everyone," Dawson said in the release.

Brandon RougeauRougeau (left) has also lived in the Wilmington area for four years and has settled in Carolina Beach with his wife and son.

"I've sold a lot of things, most recently software. But I don't feel like I'm selling with real estate. Just helping folks find a home. It's so personal, and a great exciting part of people's lives. To be a part of the smiles and be able take away the stress and anxieties of home buying for folks, is priceless," Rougeau said.

Rougeau graduated from Berklee School of Music in Boston. He enjoys Wilmington's local food and beer movement and contributes to the music scene by playing with his band Sunset Kings.

“I have known Brandon since I sold his family a house in Carolina Beach years ago. He is a people person that has never met a stranger. He has always been a hard worker and I know he will be successful in Real Estate. What an honor to have a past client come join our Spot family," Robinson said in the release.
