Wilmington-based Thomas Construction Group hired Mike Brisson as a project manager in the firm’s specialty projects division.
 
He previously worked as a project manager for a local commercial contractor as well as in a project management position with a developer for commercial and design-build construction, according to a news release.
 
At Thomas, Brisson serves as the point of contact for existing clients, referrals and new business projects typically valued under $1 million, the release stated. He leads preconstruction for those types of projects and is the project liaison from conception to completion.
 
Brisson graduated from Appalachian State University in 2008 with a degree in building science, architectural technology and design.
