The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation’s leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-business community, has announced that a Wilmington small business, The KD Collection, has been awarded a 2016 Growth Grant.
The KD Collection is one of six winners of NASE’s first-half 2016 Growth Grants, and will receive $4,000 to help grow and expand their business operations.
The KD Collection is owned by Karen Doniere, a NASE member. The KD Collection’s One On One Press provide online courses and other programs for moms and women to help them conquer their fears and self-doubt to achieve their personal and professional goals.
This year, NASE will hand out $48,000 in grants to small businesses across the country.
“On behalf of the nation’s leading association for the self-employed and micro-business community, it’s our honor to announce The KD Collection as a recipient of our first-half 2016 Growth Grant of $4,000,” said John Hearrell, vice president of NASE, in a news release.“It is critical for us to support and recognize small business owners and sole proprietors who are exemplifying America’s entrepreneurial spirit.
“The awarding of this grant signifies our belief in this North Carolina-based small businesses and we look forward to watching Karen make the critical investments needed to grow and expand this locally owned business.”
Since 2006, the NASE has awarded over half a million dollars to members through the Growth Grant program by providing small business grants.
