The University Relations team at UNCW recently added Tricia Vance as a public communications specialist.
 
Vance’s position requires her to write and edit news and feature stories for the university’s print and online publication and collaborate with colleagues on other internal and external communications.

Before this position, Vance worked as a congressional press secretary and reporter for several other newspapers in North Carolina and Florida. Closer to home, she served as editorial page editor, deputy city editor and reporter at the StarNews.
 
Vance graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
