The Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care, recently certified The Byrd Group, the health care company announced in a press release.
 
The company was surveyed by multiple RN surveyors and attained the certification in April 2014. It will be monitored by “additional survey teams every three years to assure the continued provisions of exceedingly high service to all clients,” according to the recent press release.
 
The Byrd Group offers private duty nursing services to patients in their homes or in health care facilities. It has three separate corporate entities that operate across North Carolina: The Byrd Healthcare Group LLC, Interim HealthCare of the Triangle LLC and Interim HealthCare of the Eastern Carolinas Inc.
