Wilmington-based Crown Hotel and Travel Management announced the promotion of Amy Shuford to the position of assistant general manager, according to a news release.
 
In addition to Shuford’s promotion, the company also announced the hiring of Brittany Dwyer as director of sales and marketing for the Holiday Inn Express Leland-Wilmington area.
 
Shuford has “over 20 years of hospitality experience working for brands such as Marriott and Hilton,” according to the release. Born in Charlotte, she attended the University of California, Irvine.
 
Dwyer previously worked as a sales coordinator for Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Wilmington, according to the release.  She attended Bridgewater State University.
 
“We could not be more pleased to add these two dynamic individuals to our team,” director of operations Barry Eagle said in the release.
