Dosher Memorial Hospital has promoted Cynthia Ricks to health information management coordinator/medical auditor, according to a news release.

Ricks started working at Dosher in 2004 as a patient access associate. Within two years, she was promoted to a supervisor role, stated the release.

Ricks served in that role for 10 years and then transferred to Medical Records after receiving her degree, stated the release.

“Cynthia has not only been a valuable member of the Dosher team for 16 years, she has also been willing to expand her education and skillset to meet the changing needs of our organization,” said Dosher CEO Brad Hilaman, in the release.

After attending South Brunswick High School, Ricks received her associate's degree as well as a diploma in health information management from Brunswick Community College, stated the release. She also received her state certification as a registered health information technologist, all while working full time at the hospital.
