Ministering Circle Provides Funds To Several Wilmington Nonprofits

The Ministering Circle has announced funds in support of a variety of Wilmington nonprofit organizations, according to a news release.

The group has provided $138,000 to several groups to support their needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, stated the release.

The organizations are Bread for Life Senior Pantry; StepUp Wilmington; Cape Fear Literacy Council; Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association; Carousel Center; NourishNC; The Help Hub; St. Mary Dental Clinic; The Harrelson Center; Cape Fear Community College Ministering Circle Endowment Fund for Nursing & Health Sciences scholarships; and the University of North Carolina Wilmington Ministering Circle Endowment Fund for Nursing & Health Sciences scholarships.  

The Ministering Circle is a nondenominational group of 50 women who raise funds and contributes annually to programs that support improved health and wellness in the Wilmington area, officials said.

“These contributions are even more vital when we are in the midst of a disaster, whether it be a hurricane or the COVID-19 [crisis],” stated the release.
