NHRMC Recognized By Healthgrades For Outstanding Patient Experience

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Jun 18, 2019
New Hanover Regional Medical Center has earned the Healthgrades 2019 Outstanding Patient Experience Award, according to a news release.

NHRMC has been recognized by the award every year since 2012, officials said in the release. The recognition places the hospital among the top 10 percent in the country based on the Healthgrades honor.

“These awards are driven directly by patients’ feedback, giving them a voice in helping to improve the hospital experience while also helping other consumers make more informed healthcare decisions,” Brad Bowman, chief medical officer at Healthgrades, said in the release.

Healthgrades utilized patient surveys to evaluate NHRMC’s performance, including perspectives of patients' care at the hospital.

“This award is an acknowledgment of the excellent care our teams provide every day,” said NHRMC CEO and President John Gizdic, in the release. “We have great people dedicated to making the experience with us the best it can be.”
