A new Starbucks is open on Oleander Drive at Independence Boulevard.

The 2,000-sqaure-foot franchise operation is in what used to be a gas station near Independence Mall. The property, which opened in late May, includes indoor seating, a covered patio with a central fire pit and a drive-thru.

Hours at the new Starbucks are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. WiFi and mobile payment options are available at the store, as well as free coffee grinds from brewed coffee that patrons may take home for their compost piles.

Other Wilmington Starbucks include inside Independence Mall; at Landfall Center; and inside Barnes & Noble at Mayfaire Town Center.
