Evan McMillan is the new community affairs director for Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors (WRAR), tasked primarily with engaging "local homeowners, [WRAR] members and the community in legislative and political issues, the organization stated in a news release.

McMillan will be responsible for growing a grassroots network that can be used to mobilize WRAR’s members throughout New Hanover and Pender counties. He will also direct events, deploy social media, manage the organization's data bases and build community partnerships, the release added.

“Realtors care about the community and with the cooperative wealth of knowledge of 1,850 members throughout the two-county region, our membership can provide leadership on important issues as we enter the next growth cycle in eastern North Carolina,” Shane Johnson, WRAR governmental affairs director said in the release.
