Wake N Bake Donuts has released a new summer menu, hoping to lure summer visitors to Pleasure Island as well as entice loyal local customers.

“We are super excited to add these new and amazing options to the menu,” said owner Danny Tangredi. “Along with the six new donuts we have also added some classics like fruit-filled powdered donuts and white cream filled.”

The six new donuts that have been added to the menu are:
  • The Creme Brûlée Creeper-vanilla filled with vanilla custard icing and a caramelized sugar topping
  • Smokey the S’more’s-chocolate icing, graham cracker crumbs and flamed toasted marshmallows
  • PB & J-grape jelly filling, peanut butter icing, crushed roasted peanuts
  • The Danimal-Nutella icing topped with animal crackers
  • Rosemary Jane-olive oil, house-made herb seasoning with rosemary, garlic, dried onions, salt and hemp seeds and
  • PB Get Bizzy-Voted “Fan Favorite”-peanut butter cream filling, chocolate icing, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and peanut butter drizzle
“It was awesome to see how involved our fans were in our Fan Favorite contest,” Tangredi said. “We had over 800 votes in just eight hours.”

Wake N Bake Donuts has also extended it hours and is now open until 10 p.m. to accommodate an evening crowd.

“We were trying to figure out a way to serve our customers who weren’t in our immediate vicinity,” said general manager JoDan Garza. “If you live in Wilmington and work a 9 to 5, our previous hours were harder to accommodate. With our extended hours you can come in after work and get some awesomeness for your taste buds for dessert or breakfast the next morning.”

Wake N Bake Donuts is located at 1401 N. Lake Blvd. in the Snow’s Cut Crossing shopping center. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (closed Tuesdays) and Sundays until 5 p.m.
